Close-up of copper pots.

Close-up of copper bowls

The early coppersmiths of Indonesia belonged to an elite group of specialists who escaped from the Kingdom of Surakarta when they were no longer premitted to make weapons. Fleeing to the mountains, they began producing cooking vessels from both copper and brass. It was then that their exclusive skills diffused into the Indonesian Archipelago.

Each piece is unique and all are water-tight and food safe. It is recommended that you avoid using harsh polishes; instead use mild soap to preserve the beauty of your selected art form.
